ANA’s first class is expensive. A round trip flight between Europe and Tokyo in first will cost you close to $9k.
But here’s a way to experience nearly a full day in the air on ANA’s first class suites for less than $4,000, but unfortunately you’ll need to be a bit creative with your routing.
First class tickets from Athens (ATH) to Seoul (GMP) include a MUC to HND leg in ANA first, after which you’ll fly from HND to GMP on ANA’s 787 business class – a short, two hour flight. The MUC to HND route is serviced by ANA’s older 777-300. The MUC to ATH leg is serviced in Lufthansa’s A320 business class, which is nothing special.
You can’t schedule a stopover in Tokyo without increasing the price of this ticket considerably. But, round trip tickets between GMP and HND are just $510 in business, so you can add a trip to Tokyo to this itinerary, although it will involve a bit of backtracking.
There is no maximum stayover in Seoul, so you can turn this round trip tickets into two trips throughout the year if you’re so inclined. You also have the option to fly the HND to MUC route in Lufthansa’s excellent first class.
Tickets are widely available starting in late August and extending through May 2021.
Is this a great deal? Not exactly. But it does offer significant savings over ANA’s normal first class prices.
