Tokyo to West Coast U.S. for $2,295, add a stopover in Hawaii for less than $100

Last week we spotted some great business class fares on Hawaiian Airlines between Tokyo and New York. It now looks like Hawaiian Airlines will extend these sweet business class deals to the West Coast of the United States as well.

Starting in mid-September you can book a business class ticket on Hawaiian Airlines from Tokyo Haneda (HND) to Seattle (SEA), Portland (PDX), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), Las Vegas (LAS) or Phoenix (PHX) for just $2,295. This is a decent fare considering business class tickets between Tokyo and the US usually cost around $3k. However, these tickets do include a stopover in Honolulu (HNL), which increases the total time of these itineraries to over 15 hours.

What may make these fares more appealing to travelers is Hawaiian Airlines allows a stopover in Hawaii for less than $100 more. This means you can create a vacation that includes both Hawaii and the West Coast US for less than $2,400! Below is a sample itinerary that includes time in both Hawaii and Las Vegas.

These fares are available on Hawaiian through May 2021. The State of Hawaii will waive its mandatory 14-day quarantine for visitors with a negative COVID test starting on September 1st, 2020, however, the state has pushed back this date before so it may be best to book for later in 2020 or early 2021.
